Bryce 5.5 is a program made by the DAZ Corporation, and is the only free version of Bryce that is out there.

Anyway Bryce makes 3D landscaping easier to do. The user interface is easy to navigate threw. You can import pictures into it, which enables making other things as well. Like a plane for example. Also before I forget you can also animate your 3d landscapes with the Bryce as well.
