Real good start bro. If your doing the bg tho almost the same color as the underneath of the blue color where the links are. I would make like a smaller white background like you have on the about section and also put under the links. (if you plan on carrying out the same two tone blue background with that link in it.) That way the links do not just look like they are sitting there and on part of the background.
i dunno, might be hard to under stand what i am trying to say or what i mean.

see thats what i mean, where the BG keeps going. I did a small sized preview of it but you will get the point of what i mean. Once you see it then read again what i wrote up top here and you will understand now i think.
It would kinda look like the nav section is just sitting out in the middle of no where.
(but after i did it, it still kinda looks cool tho even like that but..) lolz
