I was asked tonight, what is the best way to reach everyone in a persons list on an event and how am i doing that.

i do it through a bulletin, which i explained, for those who read them, they see the event, i was asked is there another way to personally send it to people, inbox, event listing??

I answered, to do an event, it never shows where people are from, to do emails would take just as long, a few hours or even a few days with a huge list of people, the bulletin is the quickest and easiest way, as i don't have a few hours or days to spend on something like that.

Now, my question is, i want to be sure of my answer, i've take myself out of nutspace world and never did event invites on my own, is there something new out there going on that i should know about to give the lates informed answer??

there's no point in inviting someone to an event who is 37 cities away, i know i've heard about databases and all one can keep, what's the best way, am i already doing it the best way just through a bulletin announcment?

thank you.

If i am understanding you right.

Bulletins, yes. Also they can send private messages to all on there list or event list i should say right from inside the event section. As you see them as "invitations" section of your email box i believe. So yes, Can choose to send in mail to the people or by bulletin.

Databases have nothing to do with it. As you can not access myspace's databases nor have your own web servers database access myspace either so.. not sure what your saying on that one. Plus that what you wrote was kind of hard to understand and read anyways by the way you wrote it out and/or worded some parts.

okay, what he wanted was for these to be sent directly to people instead of a bulletin, whereas, people have to go looking for it, i wasn't sure myself what it was he wanted when i wrote this, so, i was half assed on information as to what they wanted.  he was asking can it be done, so people in the general area get sent the invite, and i didn't know how they have that setup running, last time i had been in there, there wasn't areas you could choose to send to people.  i still can't make any sense right now, but, it's been solved now, sorry.

No problem.

Yes as i think i stated above. You can send directly to a certain amount of people on your list at the same time. You can also send the invites right from the events page to all your friends in a private message as well if im thinking right.

from the event invites section as i create it, i can choose a list of areas, and it shows how many people are in that area from the list of "friends" i have no idea if it reaches them directly, it seems too as there has been some correspondence back, but is there another way through the list of friends to do that from what you're saying??  i ask because if there's a faster way, that would be good to know.

No that is what i was saying i think. That is what you wanted exactly wasn't it ?? So if so then you found it.
