how can i get the correct sizes in pics, being i have to work with only inches now??
i used pixels all the time, and i don't know how to get a pic in inches to go to 445 pixel width.
i tried googling the topic, found a few converters, but they didn't look right once it was done.
i'm not good at this math stuff with dpi and all that, is it possible to do this instead of all the trial and error im having??
Help??

If using photoshop just change it from pixels to inches when creating it or resizing it. There will be a drop down list to choose from. Even using percent and other options. Not only PS but most image prgs.

using microsoft publisher 2007, they only work with inches, i have images that have to match the pixel sizes i have, and i can't sneak photoshop on the computers here or they will ban me from using library computers and it's all i have to use, can't risk that too much.

They all have pixels and inches hun. Plus anyways i thought tht is what you said you needed anyways was inches then so you already have them. Either way doesn't matter just do the math hun. Or google a chart from inches to pixels. Just like a 800x600p is a 8x6in etc etc...

i did that before the question topic here, i found too much to read on dpi. skipping all that dpi info, what was written to figure it out from pixels to inch was very confusing too. publisher 2007 does not give pixel options - even in the advanced option.

Read what i wrote 3 or 3 post up Mary. That should help and answer your question. As said to use the other links or just post it here & we can do it or what size you need and ill tell you what the inches' or px' is for it. Dont worry about dpi.. That is way to much crap and indepth u dont need to know but just to confuse you lol

simple things didn't come up that day, LOL so, let me take a stab at this, 612X842 pixels which they like that size for the printer, so, in inches that would be just......6x8 ?? let's say the number after the 8 was a 5, example 852, would i round it off to 9??? i sent that link to myself!! Thanks No sleep for the wicked i see, haha

No... It does not. That's just an 8x6. Same thing close enough. See actually pix are a little over and not even but the inch size is [for the most part] and just comes out and set to 8x6 etc... Both those numbers are standard numbers. The one u posted and the one i just did. 8x6 and 612X842 ---------- Yeah no sleep for the wicked yet. lol. I had enough plus a nap so.. Doing it on purpose so can sleep good tonight threw out the whole night so can get up early and head up. [without thinking all night and not sleeping] Anyways.. hope that helps. ttyl
