How can you NOPT find it on a CSS ref page ?? lol It's under positioning attributes. Says it all.
As sid. You want & need absolute. Dont worry about the restuntil you need them
Basically they explain themself just by there names.

i am trying my best to figure the problem out, all i can think of to solve it is the position, changing the numbers didn't stop w items staying on top of each other, ye, i looked at it and it isn't giving me the answer to fix the problem.

Yes but not sure what you need or mean so... All i know is if you follow the directions and write the code right you should be fine. You can also look at a simple div code like i have posted link here on my site and follow it you should be fine. All you have to do is change the top number and the margin-left number to position things right. If you picture the screen but add a giant plus sign on it. ... uhm... well let me draw you a picture so you can see what i was about to say. or can you just call me or be able to go live support with me on computer so i can show you live in action ??? Let me know asap.

i took one of the vids out of the div yesterday, then i was able to move it left and right, then i put the 2nd vid in it as z index2, then-this when they sit on top of each other. i showed the codes on that topic, but i guess you haven't had time to get there yet to look at that.
then i decided, 2 pics instead of vid-to see if it would place one z index left and the other right side of screen-i moved it top down below vids. it moved all of them down and on top of each other.
the reason i choose two i 2 seperate z index's, with the codes i got here, is to know how to move the contact information.
this is why im stumped on this, i didn't want to crosspost on this-the codes im using are on other topic as i said.
promising to be online to go live can be iffy if library is busy, i could be waiting up to an hour on reserving a computer or be kicked off due to another reserving one.
when you mention plus sign-i believe you mean to move object to right of screen, correct?
and i read minus is to the left of the screen, i did both, something leaves those codes when you put 2 of an object in their own div's., if i use only one object (embed or pic) it's fine.....
i looked back at codes that the page i like used for their contact info, i see table, td, tr

going on.
so.....i was thinking it's positioning of more than one object, now im thinking it has to have tables in a divide like his was done-i don't know, if so, i'll be needing a link for most recen codes on tables, the onfo i have on that is several years old.
hope what i have explained makes sense......let me know if u want me to email my number, i never kept info on yours as it was not meant for me at that time.

Mary... you need to stop thinking on your own so much and just do exactly what is told to do or what things say to do and not like so called guessing on how things work or what they do and going ahead of yourself all the time in your own mind.
No z-index is for that but can also go up to 100. Only on normal websites. Myspace only allows 10
On the plus sign. There is no such thing. Only a minus sign. With out anything there is a plus. Positive and negative etc... Also no as said to you need ONE div for each thing you are posting. So one div for each link. Or just one wide div and have them all right next to each other and create the images the right way to where they are big enough to crete or look as to where they create there own space inbetween each. Then a div for one pic, then another div for the other.
So you can use the same exact code over and over again and just change the contents and then of course the positioning & then z-index if needed.
As for talking to me.. you do not have to be near a computer for me to explain what i have to. It will just make it simplified to speak it real fast instead of this BS trying to explain it to you by writing.
Cause i or we keep going over and over the same thing. It's getting old. As said.. you keep making it more complicated for yourself as it is plus even worse when your doing all this worring or thinking about it instead of just doing it as instructed. Point to point. Not ahead thinking. Stay on point. Do th steps and it would be fine and work.

i'll send my number then.
if you're free to do this during the week? the allegea d i had to take tonight won't let anything through tonight.
i've misse the point somewhere then when it comes to more than one item, all in their own divide and being able to line them up, i stopped thinking, started doing the other day and still.....don't know what i messed up on.
i'll be happy as a pig in sh%$ once i get this down.

ooopppsssss.........
i changed the numbers on top and left absolute positions, i have 4 DIV'S and yet, with the codes from here, they all insist on stacking on top of each other.......and i widened the width to give them more room.......
wouldn't it be better if i show the codes and a screenshot so you can see for yourself?
something is making it do this and i don't know what it is.

That would be fine and normally you know is needed we shouldnt have to ask for it. Be ahead of the game ok. Anyways if they do that just change the z-index number. One is bottom div and it goes up. 2-3-4-5 etc.... That doesnt mean they HAVE to be stacked on each other. That is just incase they are near each other or right on top of one another or touching etc...
Also.. sorry i forgot to look at the vid and post it. i will right now since i am up and have time.

Ignore everything he is doing and really when it comes to the way he covers up things or hides things.. Just pay attention to the div code and screen and how it goes together to what part of the screen per what it means to the coding for the margin-left number and top number etc...
It's old as hell plus he didnt really know what he was doing to well. I mean he did but not real good.
