I watched video and i do understand the top and left margin to move div's, now, if i can show you my codes with screen shots??

in about me:
Code:
<style>
.contacttable{display:none;}

</style>

<style>body {margin-top:420px;}

.TopBanner {width:800px; height:400; text-align:center; position: absolute; left:50%; top:20px; margin-left:-400px; z-index:1; visibility:visible;}
</style>

<style>body
body {margin-top:420px;}
.TopBanner {width:800px; height:400; text-align:center; position: absolute; left:50%; top:60px; margin-left:-400px; z-index:2; visibility:visible;}
</style>

who i'd like to meet:

Code:
<div class="TopBanner">
<img src="http://i26.tinypic.com/v6tfzl.jpg" /></div>

<div class="TopBanner">
<img src="http://i32.tinypic.com/jrxjko.jpg" /></div>

the following i took out to see if it would make a difference, i also got rid of the 2 videos on top that i had for div 1 and div 2, thought maybe they could be creating some havoc when moving or the stacking problem i have and no, they at the time didn't have to box for code (i think it's called)?

in books:
Code:

it explained what moving the div, but problem is, if you look at my codes, you'll see when i have more than one div, they stay stacked on top of each other-if i change the top or left absolute position, it brings the div's ALL in that same position.  i truly don't know what to do about, making it impossible to do contact image, which would be several div's.

what can i do?

every top div has to have it's own css code. With different name to position it right. Plus the HTML part to go with it. Not to mention you have to be careful for missing CSS parts. You are missing a few. Like the px in the height selector.

that never dawned on me till you said it before,

u also said i'm missing some css codes, so.... probably missed something in copying, so, i'll grab those again,

the one without the px i did on purpose reading elsewhere.

so, tomorrow i will do that, give those names as the example and i'll be back bouncing off the walls with joy and then worry bout the rest.  i'm excited!!!

 *???when using these codes between style tags....i don't need to keep starting and stopping them do i?  i read here once or somewhere that is not a properly coded page, unless it's hiding interests, etc, etc.

i start with hiding contact box and then kept the about me codes going, seems to have worked doing this from my phone.

 *???now on the content for the div, that should start and stop with each one?  i figure the answer is yes?

least of all...........

that just means ALL in ONE set of style tags. Not a bunch of sets of style tags. All CSS in one set

so now i know the difference with html (div) and css

so, between here and w3c-something like that, (i'm assuming their stuff is up to date) i can start the background proper codes.
