Wow, i thought the whole thing would have moved here, but it did not

okay, at the top of this page, the contact information is all there in the top divide, the links all work.  My efforts to match sizes they have messed up on me.

also need to know how to do the background the way they did, where the middle of the page just moves.

the link is:

All it is is a default page. The background is just a custom BG and set to center. The top all they did was move the main page body down and put the links in divs. One div per link and set there position to line up that way.

I think we have a simple div tut here and a top banner div tut so.. Go by them and you should be fine. If not ill do one up for you real fast when i have time. If i do the next day or two. I know i dont over the weekend as i will be at the races and per party events all weekend.

Let me know and ill look right now for ours here and post links to them if i get to them or find them here in a sec.

oohh and PS` It did but was on the first page of this topic. Sorry i didnt notice.

Here is the top banner one.. Placing a Banner on top of profile

then all you do is place them images either in separate divs aligned right or in tables at the bottom of the top banner div. Which is inside the same one div if you want it to be.

 Wink

If you still need more help feel free to ask.. Or a simple div tut as well. As we have a topic for one but i erased the text to re-write it and havent got to it yet a while baclk.

a simple tut would never hurt though.  i sent that top divide tut to my email, i never know how much time i'm going to have left to start some days after i do what i'm asked to do and do what i would like to do for myself.  so, if i have any further questions, which i expect me too, put it here or go with the top divide subject??  i would say top divide tut in text you sent me too.

sorry, still tired here and can't make sense in words whats in my head.

1~for the load time on myspace, does it matter what loads faster, tables or another divide??

2~for another divide code, does this change---->z-index:3; to let's say z-index:4;???

3~suppose you have video or pics to put up at top, all on one divide, what would change in this?
text-align:center; position: absolute; left:50%; top:0px; margin-left:-400px;

Thanks.

1~

divs are always better. Just new school way of doing things then tables. But either for this case as the tables would be in a div. Just a way to line things up how u want them and those pieces positioned right.

2~

yes

3~

No.. the contents have nothing to do with it. Unless bigger or smaller then would have to of course move the whole div, left or right or up or down to adjust because of the size of something inside of it etc...

Just to note, i have changed the text align for two videos on top, been through the codes and they end up on top of each other,

here's what i have in about me:
Code:
<style>body {margin-top:520px;}

.TopBanner {width:800px; height:400; text-align:left; position: absolute; left:35%; top:0px; margin-left:-400px;
z-index:3; visibility:visible;}
</style>

<style>body {margin-top:520px;}
.TopBanner {width:800px; height:400; text-align:center; position: absolute; left:50%; top:0px; margin-left:-400px;
z-index:4; visibility:visible;}
</style>

and in to  meet:
Code:
<div class="TopBanner">

Eocenedawning video<br />
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" height="381" width="480">

Text align just changes the info alignment inside the div.
Putting a minus makes the whole div go to the position on the other side of the center line of your screen. [everybodies screen]

like here is an example. This is very old so don't go by this but you can get the basics of what things do and what they mean. Until i redo mine here. http://www.myspaceprodesigns.com/tutorial/div/

sorry had a video tut but cant find it at the moment. Use this until i find it or make another...
